Trying to switch from FIRST DIRECT... Natwest website takes me round and round in a circle. CORA is no help. No freephone number. Still - it's good to learn of NATWEST's shortcomings before joining. Taking my businesss elsewhere !!

Preferred solution: Open an account on NATWEST website . Actually I've given up trying. Lack of any decent help has scared me off. Also.... this form is unfit for purpose.... what's the relevance of the question "Where Did the Issue Happen? Select an address" ???

I had a query/problem with online banking-- the website wouldn't let me make a transfer, informing me I had exceeded a daily allowance (i hadn't)- I tried three times using the online assistance, which just vanished each time I got beyond the crude AI. The telephone helpline is desperately poor , I have been waiting twenty minutes now and the ghastly music continues... and I haven't yet spoken to anyoneUse anyone else

I had a simple payment on my NatWest online banking to my own hsbc account, fraud contacted me. I answered the questions satisfactorily. Clearly i was established as the account holder and my payment confirmed as something I had in fact done. It was to my named account, I explained why I had made that payment, which was all above board. They then told me my banking was suspended, I was locked out of my app, my 5k payment had left my account the night before but not arrived in my hsbc account. So here I am 5k missing waiting for a 2 day.. YES2 DAY!! Call back window. NEVER USE THIS BANK!!

This bank is a joke with taxpayer money

After closing the accounts it is impossible to talk to anyone as you need to HAVE a account to talk to customer service. There is no contact information for dumped customers or anyone you can talk to complain.

As an expat for the past 20 years, living in 8 different countries, this is the first time I was stolen by a financial institution and apparently it is legal to do that with out any reason. Congratulations to the UK, that explain why the economy is the way it is and soon to be the worst european economy.

The bank closed my card merchant account, and a few months later, my business and personal accounts and credit cards without any explanation. The bank stole £7,500. They said they would hold the money for their security against chargebacks (in 3 years of trading, I never had one chargeback as all transactions are in person with chip and pin). That was June 2022. Now the bank says that they will keep holding my money until 15th December 2023 and that it is possible that I won't get any of my money. They will finish the theft. This month I received a bill for bank fees of £40 that cannot be paid online or at a post office, only at a NatWest branch. I went to a branch today, and their employees, after 45 min trying to figure out how to get the payment, told me they couldn't accept the payment in a branch. Instructed me to call customer service, the same number that instructed me to pay at a branch. They don't have a clue what they are doing. How do they get a banking license?
